This is reflected in our menu, which is seasonal so that we can use products at their very best. We hope that you will visit and enjoy our food. We serve food between 11:30n am and 2:30pm Monday to Saturday, although sandwiches can be prepared at other times. Please ask at the bar. Spring & Summer Lunch Menu Soup of the day - £3.50 - some (V) Homemade soup, cooked from the best produce. Served with locally baked bread and butter. Please ask for details. Ham, egg and chips - £5.50 - Home cooked ham, free range egg and chips. Cod in batter and Chips - £4.95 - An old favourite, served with peas Steak and Ale Pie - £6.50 - Tender beef cooked with Palmer's Copper Ale, topped with short crust pastry. Served with either creamy mashed potatoes or chips and a selection of fresh vegetables. Sausage and Mash - £5.50 - Old English Sausages from our local butcher, served with mashed potatoes, onion gravy and a selection of seasonal vegetables. Spaghetti Bolognese - £5.00 - Bolognese sauce made with the best of ingredients, served with the spaghetti and side salad. Fresh Parmesan cheese served on the side so you can add as much or as little as you want. Ropemakers Fry Up - £5.00 - Containing egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, baked beans and toast. Spaghetti with classic Tomato Sauce - £5.00 - Spaghetti served with a classic tomato and red wine sauce, accompanied with a side salad, parmesan and garlic bread. Ropemakers Burgers - A range of home made burgers served in a roll with chips and a salad garnish. Cheeseburgers are topped with Park Farm Coastal Cheddar. 1/4lb Beefburger - £4.50, 1/2lb Beefburger - £5.60, 1/4lb Cheeseburger - £4.80, 1/2lb Cheeseburger - £5.90 Ropemakers Ploughman's Lunches - All of our Ploughman's Lunches use Leakers bread and home made pickles. They all come with a hunk of either white, wholemeal or granary bread and butter, with freshly prepared salad garnish and a choice of either pickled onion, picalilli or our own spicy chutney. Assam Fair Trade Organic - Organically grown in the Brahmaputra valley, a black tea noted for its full bodied, fresh, malty flavour. Indian Chai Fair Trade Organic - A black tea with warming spices, a blend of cinnamon, lemon peel, cloves and fennel. Hot Chocolate Green & Blacks .
